Step 1
A simple step to start: sketch a long oval shape to form the head of our cartoon dad. The bottom must be wider than the top.
Step 2
Next, add some rectangles to create the body and the pants of the cartoon character. Both arms are also made from rectangles. Finally, draw two circles to represent both hands.
Step 3
On top of the head, draw some hair using small curved lines. Ears are sketched using small circular shapes. Draw the feet like shown in the illustration below. Nice work! :)
Step 4
Great! Both the eyes and the pupils are made from large circles. Drawing large circles is important to end up with a cute cartoon character. Draw more details on the shirt of the cartoon dad.
Step 5
You can complete this tutorial by adding small oval shapes inside the pupils. The nose and the mouth are made from curved lines. A simple moustache can be added below the nose of the character.
