Gear & Must-Accept Travel Items

Information technology'south difficult to pare downwardly our favorite must-have travel gear into a curt listing, but surprisingly, we managed to tone downwardly our extra-ness and make it happen!

In that location are a handful of tried & true essentials that we bring with the states on every trip, whether we're going backpacking for 4 months or just stuffing everything into a carry-on and heading to the Chill (both actual things we accept done, fwiw).

  • Teeny Tiny Travel Clothesline: This teeny-tiny clothesline fits in the palm of your paw simply can hang upwards the entire contents of your suitcase, soaking wet. We always bring it forth, considering yous never know when yous'll have a wet bathing suit that needs hanging or some expert old sink laundry to dry (which is how we get away with only ever bringing 7 pairs of underwear along on every trip). Tip: don't hang it up in your bath, where it's boiling and damp – put it somewhere with natural, drying sunlight and plenty of air, like virtually a window or improve yet, outside in the sun!
  • Packing Cubes: Whether we're carrying backpacks or suitcases, we ringlet up our wearable and organize them in these lightweight packing cubes to stay organized during our trip! Nosotros're still using the exact aforementioned packing cubes that we purchased for our year-long honeymoon back in 2016 – they agree up fantastically. We also honey how flexible and lightweight they are!
  • Reusable Water Bottle: Reusable water bottles are non only the environmentally friendly choice, but they have a major reward over inexpensive, clear plastic h2o bottles: they actually keep your h2o Cold, fifty-fifty in miserably hot destinations! We bring ours forth on every trip, and nosotros make full information technology up before long flights to stave off that drying plane air.
  • Travel Towel: At that place is absolutely no guarantee that in that location will be towels available at the hostel, or that towels at your hotel are going to fit effectually your waist.Bluntly, they rarely fit around my left thigh. And so just to be condom, we always bring along a travel-friendly, lightweight, quick-drying travel towel!
Couple in the snow in Lake Tahoe, California.
Ever heard the maxim "there's no such thing every bit bad atmospheric condition, just bad clothing?" Well, it's totally true! Pack the right wearable and y'all'll be comfortable no matter where your adventures take you. Like, in this photo, they took u.s.a. to Lake Tahoe, which was apparently the perfect place to interruption out Jeremy's llama cardigan.

Essential Travel Vesture

The best travel clothing varies somewhat depending on whether y'all're going somewhere hot or somewhere cold – which is why we created detailed packing guides for both hot weather destinations & common cold-weather condition destinations. But other than that, nosotros actually pretty much bring the verbal same things with us on every single trip!

After 5 years of full-time travel blogging, nosotros've both tried & tested enough travel clothing to have a few honey pieces of travel clothing that we absolutely swear past. They come with the states on every trip and we typically end up wearing them embarrassingly often. Hither'south what'due south on the height of the listing:

  • The Best Travel Jeans: If you've spent more than 5 minutes browsing our blog, you lot've probably heard u.s.a. waxing poetic about Aviator travel jeans. If not, allow me to serenade you: Vii. Giant POCKETS. Including no tone simply ii zippered/hidden back pockets and a "coin" pocket so big I tin can fit my telephone in it. Oh my lawd, I but swooned. We bring a pair of stretchy, cozy, pockety Aviator jeans with us on every single trip! Read more about why we love them and our other favorite pairs of pants for travel for women & too for men.
  • The Best Travel Shoes: We've each found a few beloved pairs of travel shoes that come up with united states on every trip! We both wear a pair of Allbirds Tree Skippers (his, hers) pretty much every 24-hour interval: they're breathable, lightweight, sustainable, beautiful, and comfortable enough to walk in for miles. Vivobarefoot makes an amazing pair of cold-weather boots (his & hers) that are so durable we've had them for over 3 years – I've even gone snowfall-shoeing in them. And we as well each have a pair of leather Teva sandals (his, hers) which are both super cute and the perfect sandal for everything from hiking to white water rafting. Read more virtually our favorite travel shoes for women & men.
  • Hiking & Adventure Pants: We basically throw this single pair of pants in our suitcase to encompass admittedly whatever kind of athletic activity. We've worn our quick-dry out hiking pants waterfall rappelling, canyoning, snowboarding, and even hiking a couple of times, as well! Our favorite pants are both made by prAna: the men's Zion pant and the women'southward Halle pant.
  • Quick Drying Shorts (His & Hers): Jeremy picked up a pair of these shorts to double as both his warm weather daily article of clothing item, and his swimsuit. They're a 2-for-1, which is super convenient for travel, and they work peachy! They dry quickly, making them perfect for hopping in and out of waterfalls, rivers, and the bounding main and then resuming your normal travel activities. They never got muddied or wrinkly and always await good, whether Jeremy wore them canyoning or waterfall rappelling. There's also the women's version, made out of the same stretchy quick-drying material as my hiking pants.
  • Wool Undergarments: Wool is one of our accented favorite textiles for travel. Merino wool is a phenomenon textile. It keeps yous cool when it's hot AND warm when information technology'south cold. When it gets wet, y'all'll stay comfortable while your clothing dries. It naturally resists the growth of fungus and leaner, so information technology never smells – significant less mid-trip laundry to do! Functioning wool isn't like the itchy wool of the past – it's sparse, stretchy, and super soft to the bear on, like cotton. We wear wool on every trip whether we're going somewhere cold or warm! Lia wears this sports bra, travel bra, & underwear and Jeremy wears this underwear & these socks.
  • Wool, Cotton, Linen, & Hemp Wearable: We have a lot of love for sustainably farmed natural fibers and their amazing properties, which we know mode too much virtually thank to Lia's degree in Way Pattern. Nosotros've already told you how much nosotros honey wool, and our dear for hemp is very similar: it'south naturally anti-microbial and temperature regulating, so it's perfect for all-weather condition travel. We're still working on finding more amazing hemp vesture, simply the pieces we've field-tested and loved are this comfy t-shirt for women and this men'due south push down. Cotton and linen are our go-to fabrics for hot weather travel (leave them at domicile if you're going somewhere cold).
  • Lounge Pants: Before I discovered the Outdoor Voices CloudKnit pants, I thought all stretchy lounge pants were the. same. I was incorrect. These lightweight, super-stretchy pants look awesome and experience amazing. They have 3 roomy pockets and they're perfect for everything from wearing on xx-60 minutes flights to sleeping to hiking through the jungle (true story). We each have a pair that comes with us on every trip, and we clothing them on every flight. Read more about our survival tips for long-haul flights!
  • Swimsuits: I'grand a size sixteen/18, and my favorite swimsuit is this one, which I literally have in iii dissimilar colors. It'due south amazing. It's perfect. It'due south a freakin' steal! For more swimsuit picks, check out my guide to swimsuits for curvy girls.
  • Swim Leggings: Snorkelling is my favorite travel adventure activeness! Unfortunately, I alwys seem to end up with a sunburn … normally on my butt. These swim leggings provide full-coverage sun protection while letting me motility underwater without restriction. Quick-drying swim leggings are designed to hold upward in saltwater and chlorine and dry out quickly once you're out of the water (they are likewise incredibly comfortable to walk in, and prevent the dreaded mail-swim chub rub). I love Waterlust's swim leggings line because the brand is super sustainable and supports conservation and anti-racism initiatives, plus their leggings are 100% chlorine, sunday, saltwater and sunscreen resistant and fabricated from recycled materials. Oh, and their leggings accept POCKETS! Sizes get up to 3XL. For more details, head over to the full review of my swim leggings!

Travel Essentials for Safe

Nothing ruins a trip quite like getting robbed. Nosotros detest to be bummers, but it'southward true! Bad luck seems to take a habit of following us effectually, so we've learned to be overly cautious so we don't stop upwards lost, dislocated, taken reward of, or worse.

Hither are the not-negotiable travel safety essentials that come with us on every single trip:

  • Coin Belt & Bra Pocket: Carrying a wallet in your pocket is pretty much an open invitation for pickpockets. Stash your cards and cash away in harder-to-reach places, like underneath your clothing, instead! Jeremy wears a coin chugalug on every international trip & Lia wears her bra pocket … every day. Yes, even at domicile. It'south just so convenient!
  • Virtual Private Network: Yous might already be in the addiction of keeping your valuables tucked away, covering your debit card number with your hand at ATM's, and beingness aware of your surroundings, but are you protecting your digital data? Like, say … the logins to your bank and email accounts? Digital theft is sadly common and even scarier than getting your wallet stolen. Plus, it'south really difficult to see information technology coming: your banking concern business relationship tin can get drained while you're sipping coffee at a cafe and using their conveniently costless, open up WiFi. Yikes! Protect yourself with an encrypted Virtual Private Network service, like Encrypt.Me, to go on both your phone & calculator prophylactic – learn more here.
  • Lightweight Locks: Every bit backpackers who often stay in hostels, we got into the habit of bringing locks along with us on every trip long agone. The other advantage to having a couple of locks on paw is that yous can lock your luggage, which dissuades would-be thieves and pickpockets looking for an easy mark.
  • Travel Insurance: Oh, how nosotros love travel insurance! Travel insurance has saved our butts Then many times, y'all. From lost & stolen items to mysterious illnesses to really painful ear infections to an entire canceled trip, we are endlessly grateful to World Nomads travel insurance. They treat us right time & fourth dimension once again and are always there to bond us out when sh*t hits the fan! These days, we absolutely NEVER travel abroad without booking a travel insurance policy. We tried skipping it once and everything went horribly incorrect and we immediately regretted it – never again. Not sure if travel insurance is worth it? Nosotros've got a detailed guide to travel insurance that will assistance you decide.
  • Travel Credit Carte du jour: We book all of our trips on our favorite travel credit card, the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Not only do we earn greenbacks back that we can spend on more travel, but the card besides offers fantastic travel perks, like no strange transaction fees, trip delay and cancellation coverage, lost baggage reimbursement, and rental machine coverage, all of which helps protect us on our travels. Nosotros've filed several claims and the card has saved our butt many times! Nosotros've got a full review of the card. (Psst: shopping for an upcoming trip? You tin put your purchases on the card to aid you lot run across the sign-upward bonus minimum spend!)
  • Cloud Storage: Google Bulldoze, Dropbox, iCloud – there are a ton of great deject storage services out in that location, and nigh of them let you upload lots of stuff for free! We recommend using a deject storage service to upload of import documents like a copy of your passport, your travel insurance policy, a copy of your itinerary, etc and so you can access them easily even if something happens. Nosotros also recommend using Cloud Storage to back up your photos, especially if you're taking them on your phone, just in case of theft! Phones are replaceable, merely those photos aren't. Then dorsum them up! Speaking of….
  • Former Unlocked Telephone: I tin can't tell you how many times we've been traveling and our phone has gotten damaged – or worse, stolen. It'southward happened and then oft that we've long been in the habit of stuffing our old, unlocked phones in the lesser of our bags, just in case. On our nigh recent trip to Colombia (with 16 high school students in tow), we brought a total of 4 dorsum-up phones betwixt the two us. And they ALL got used – ii by chaperones who couldn't unlock their phones to employ them with a SIM menu abroad, and 2 past students whose phones were either broken or stolen.
  • Backups of Everything: We bring fill-in plans for our backups, y'all. In addition to keeping our old phones stashed in our backpacks, we also bring digital & physical copies of our passports and emergency credit cards and U.s.a. dollars hidden in like three different places. BACK. It. Upwards!
Lia and Jeremy in front of the skyline and ocean in Cartagena, Colombia
Sunscreen is REALLY important when you lot're this stake, y'all! It'south also a great alibi to wear like, a fun hat. Or centre-shaped sunglasses. Both of which I am doing in this photo of us in Cartagena, Colombia. #extra

Essential Travel Items to Stay Healthy

Travel is tough on your health, and nosotros say this after getting sick in similar, 4 continents. Whether you're going somewhere without drinkable water or somewhere with actually rich food, there are a few essential travel items y'all demand to pack to keep yourself salubrious. Because nothing ruins a trip more than getting violently ill …

  • Water Purification: We take h2o purification very, very seriously. Honestly, one bout of waterborne affliction is plenty to convince anyone that it's no freakin' joke. But we legit bring like 15 kinds of water filtration tools, plus a few backups only in case. Our faves by far are the Steri-Pen, which uses UV light to kill anything that might be lurking in your water; and the LifeStraw bottle, which lets you drink from the tap – or like, a dirty puddle on the basis, if you lot want. True story: I in one case met with Lifestraw at a conference and the rep straight upwardly drank from a bowl of muddied water. I was big sold.
  • Imodium & Other Tummy Meds: Even if you lot're purifying every drop of water you drink or utilise to brush your teeth, your breadbasket may still insubordinate against something you eat – or you may swim in some funky h2o, like say, that Cenote in Tulum, Mexico which fabricated me super freakin' sick. In any case, continue a little bottle of Imodium with you at all times. If y'all're going somewhere that traveler's belly is actually mutual, we recommend bringing along DiaResQ packets (which work astonishingly well at temporarily stopping your symptoms) and asking your doctor for a simply-in-case prescription in case things get really bad. Traveler'southward belly isn't but uncomfortable, information technology can exist dangerous – dehydration is no joke!
  • Issues Repellant: We have 2 forms of bug repellant that we rely on for every trip: Picaridin Lotion and Permethrin Spray . Picaridin Lotion is a lightweight problems repellant lotion, which means you aren't accidentally spraying your bug repellant all over the footing (where bugs live…) or in your oral cavity (ick) and it doesn't exit that awful oily residue after you apply it. It's also incredibly effective! We pair that with Permethrin Spray, a problems repellant that adheres to clothing without affecting your peel. Nosotros apply it to all of our clothing BEFORE nosotros leave for our trip. With that combination, we well-nigh never get bit on our trips!
  • Dramamine: Oh, how I love Dramamine. If they sold Dramamine in gallon jugs at Costco, I'd buy like 12. I popular Dramamine on trips like Tic-Tacs. I'chiliad that person who gets nauseous literally simply thinking about a windy route or bumpy boat ride, and Dramamine gives me similar, superpowers. Like I tin sit down in the dorsum seat and READ STUFF. Amazing! That said: the original formula puts me right to sleep, which is great for long flights merely non so much for adventure days, so I brand sure to have plenty of the not-drowsy formula on hand too.
  • Whatsoever the CDC Recommends: Check the CDC website for the countries you're going well in advance of your trip. The CDC has already done all of the work for you to figure out what you need to stay good for you no matter where y'all're going. They'll also tell you lot if something is legally required or not, similar for example, the Yellow Fever Vaccine, which you'll need to enter a agglomeration of different countries, or if you demand to see a. dr. before your trip to become a Malaria prescription or something. We stay up to date on all of our travel vaccines, and you should too!
  • Travel Insurance: Listen, we cannot stress this enough: you lot will, at some indicate, have a health issue 1 a trip that you'll demand to run across a medico for. Information technology sucks but it happens all the fourth dimension. And it's SUCH a relief to know that y'all're covered by insurance no matter where you lot are in the world. Our favorite travel insurance provider, World Nomads, will besides help you find the nearest wellness facility and guide you through the process. When I had an atrocious ear infection in Costa rica two days earlier our flight home, Globe Nomads not only helped me observe the only doctor in the tiny boondocks we were visiting – and then a infirmary in San Jose, because the hurting was and so unbearable I needed a shot of steroids in the butt, which was nearly as painful – they also covered a hotel for 2 extra nights in Costa rica while I recovered, AND paid for my new flight dwelling, AND reimbursed the states for the not-refundable flight we had to miss/cancel. Information technology was ALL covered! Volition your health insurance back home do that?? No, it volition not. So, again we say: Practice NOT SKIP OUT ON TRAVEL INSURANCE.

Toiletries & Beauty Travel Essentials

Whether you're backpacking for several months or just taking a weekend getaway, there are a few must-haves that volition help yous look and feel your best on the road. Here'southward what we bring along with us on every trip!

  • Sunscreen: Sun protection is important for everyone, but nosotros are both stake AF so information technology'due south even more important for the states. Nosotros always bring two kinds of. sunscreen with us: Mineral Sunscreen, which is better for the environment and protects your skin with a physical zinc oxide barrier rather than chemicals that soak into your skin and can cease up in your bloodstream; and Reef-Safe Sunscreen if we'll be in the ocean, which is designed to biodegrade and not harm ocean life.
  • Deodorant: Whether you're going to be running around in. the heat or sitting on a plane for xviii+ hours, chances are you're going to become a little stinky. This all-natural deodorant is tried & truthful! It's not an antiperspirant (just like, your torso sweats for a reason, and so antiperspirant has always freaked me out a trivial scrap) but it will continue you and your clothes smelling like love for a whole 24 hours. It's besides super moisturizing, so say goodbye to those icky red bumps you get when your underarms are all irritated and lamentable!
  • Hair Stuff: I've recently embraced my hair'south natural texture and gone all-in on the Curly Girl Method, so my usual depression-maintenance "f**thousand information technology, I'll castor it when I get home" hair has transformed into bouncy, shiny curls.Like, who am I, seriously? Here'south what I bring with me when I travel: all this product, a travel blowdryer, a travel diffuser, and a microfiber pilus towel. Aye I know it's super extra. But my curls look flawless and this is the first fourth dimension in my life I've ever had good hair, so don't @ me! I also have this little tiny straightener back from my pre-curly girl days.
  • Moisturizer: Our skin takes a chirapsia when we travel, so we have special care to moisturize similar crazy on trips. My pare is dry out, sensitive, AND acne-decumbent (I really lost the skin lottery) so I like to use pure, lightweight argan oil which soaks right into my skin without that greasy oily feeling and doesn't break me out. If my pilus feels thirsty, I piece of work it correct into my ends for added moisture on the go.
  • Travel-Friendly Makeup: I don't exercise a ton of makeup on the route, but I accept a few tried & true products I honey. My get-to travel look, in a nutshell, is tinted moisturizer + blush + waterproof mascara, and when I demand to zhuzh it up I throw on a bold lip color. I love the Kat Von D liquid lipstick for travel because it DOES NOT BUDGE.
  • Toiletry Case: Nosotros keep all of our toiletries organized into this handy dandy hanging toiletry case. It fits into all of our bags hands and hangs on whatever available hook in the bathroom. It's so user-friendly that we never bother to unpack it; we get out information technology hanging up in our bath at home in between trips!

Desire even more than beauty tips? Nosotros've got a whole guide to our favorite makeup & dazzler essentials for travelers.

Lia Garcia, Travel blogger & photographer watching the sunrise over Mount Tamalpais, California.
This is an incredibly rare photo for 2 reasons: 1) there is a camera IN THE PHOTO, which is super hard to do when you're usually … you know, using the camera to accept photos. And two) information technology is a SUNRISE. I woke up at 4am to catch this sunrise, and I desire a freakin' MEDAL for it because that NEVER happens! I felt similar such a legit lensman.

Essential Travel Photography Gear

We go a lot of questions nigh the camera and gear nosotros use on our travels (especially on our Instagram )! But we really have two answers to this question: essential photographic camera gear for Normal People and photographic camera gear for People Doing This Professionally. Because at that place is absolutely no reason to invest a huge corporeality of skrill into some heavy AF gear unless it'due south literally your job, similar it is ours.

Then permit'south first with the gear that y'all, a Normal Person, should take!

  • A decent phone: Honestly? Phone cameras these days are fantastic. Lia films a ton of video on her Samsung Galaxy S10 and Jeremy's iPhone takes amazing photos. So if you've got a decent phone camera, y'all really don't need to bring annihilation extra! That said, if you're anything like my mom and y'all're still carrying around your girl'southward bandage-off phone from 5 years ago, may we suggest…
  • Our Favorite Travel-Friendly Digital Camera: The Catechism Powershot is a travel-friendly, lightweight point & shoot camera that does a fantastic task taking photos in both light & dark conditions! We actually brought this camera along on our year-long honeymoon and a solid chunk of the photos on our web log were taken on this lil' guy. It's small but powerful, and information technology looks a lot less theft-worthy than a shiny phone!
  • Activity Camera: If y'all tend to practise crazy things on your travels like go waterfall rappelling or white-water rafting or snowboarding or snorkeling and y'all desire to certificate your adventurousness for your loved ones dorsum domicile, an action camera is a must! We used to have a really nice GoPro, but and so Jeremy lost it on a mountain somewhere, so we picked up this far less expensive activity camera instead. And honestly, we can't tell the departure.

At present permit's get take it a level further. Possibly you lot're an aspiring photographer or a travel blogger, like u.s.. Or possibly you're simply a hobby photographer who'due south curious about our gear.

Whatsoever your morbid curiosity, rest assured that all of this stuff costs mode too much and is fashion also heavy, and I spend nigh of my trips cursing the day I ever became a travel blogger while accidentally bumping my 10lb, $5k photographic camera & massive lens into diverse cement walls, poles, and at i indicate, just straight-upwards dropping information technology on the ground. (Thank goodness for insurance.)

  • Sony Alpha Mirrorless DSLR: And so, neither of us accept backgrounds in professional photography (although Jeremy does really have a caste in filmmaking and currently teaches photography). But we finally upgraded to professional-level equipment last twelvemonth, and it was such a game-changer! Nosotros currently shoot on a Sony a7rii and I tin definitely say. that it'southward changed our photography game, along with shooting in RAW and editing with presets in Lightroom. This is i of the best cameras currently on the market and we like it a lot. If you lot practice finish up getting one, make certain yous buy a protection plan! We go our gear from B&H considering they have fantastic multi-yr protection plans, and yes, ours accept already paid for themselves.
  • Extra Batteries: every single bombardment on the market for this camera is trash, so stock upward similar crazy. We usually bring effectually eight with united states of america, plus a few extra chargers because we burn through them like mad.
  • Photographic camera Lenses: If you thought our camera cost an arm and a leg, wait 'til you run into how much the lenses cost. Ha ha ha … *cries* When nosotros first got our Sony a7rii, we picked upward a couple of footling stock-still lenses (this 1 and this i) – they're super lightweight and travel-friendly, and do a great chore. But they aren't adjustable. You have to move your body, because you tin can't zoom in or out. Which eventually drove me crazy. Then nosotros upgraded to the 24-seventy mm F2.8 G Master, which is a Fauna. It zooms in and out like crazy, takes amazing photos and videos, and weighs roughly i billion pounds. I hate how heavy it is, simply I love that it's the but lens I ever need for anything. If you can get away with the cheaper, lighter fixed lenses, they're great – just if you're constantly running effectually and taking photos on the go, sometimes shooting wildlife and sometimes shooting cities and don't want to take to switch lenses constantly if you see something yous want to shoot, the G Master is well worth the investment from a quality perspective. Don't say we didn't warn you well-nigh how heavy it is, though. Fun story: nosotros actually managed to break our 1000 Master lens inside a week of ownership it. Thank goodness we had a protection plan! It ended up costing us null!
  • Tripods: If you've always wondered "who takes the pictures of you 2 together?" The answer is a tripod. We currently bring ii tripods with us on our trips: a fiddling JOBY Gorillapod for when nosotros only desire to snap a quick couple's shot while we're out exploring, and this travel-friendly total-size tripod. Information technology'south lightweight by tripod standards (it weighs almost 2lbs) just very sturdy, which is crucial because our camera is chunky and heavy AF. If you're doing the math in your head, our camera gear setup clocks in at roughly 86 billion pounds. To go along with the tripod, we use this remote.
  • Action Camera: Like I said earlier, we lost our GoPro and couldn't bring ourselves to buy a new one knowing full well we'd just lose information technology once again, and then we have this little guy instead. We take almost all of our video on our phones & DSLR, and simply bust this guy out when nosotros're doing Sports Things.
  • Camera Bag: What do we chuck all of our gear in? We've actually got a few camera numberless. The PacSafe Camera Bag is our favorite overall: it'southward roomy, pretty comfy to wear, super theft-proof, and it has convenient side admission. Nosotros too picked upwardly this bag for hiking & outdoorsy trips; it doubles equally a hiking day pocketbook & hydration pack. And I merely got a beautiful Gatta Bag, which I'm actually excited to vesture at conferences & on city trips! We besides take our centre on this purse – information technology will probably be our adjacent acquisition. Considering f**k information technology, nosotros're already a few thousand in, and then what'due south a few more hundred, right? *Cries in poor, once more*
Just a couple of digital nomads on a hammock in Boquete, Panama.
No matter where we are, or what funky workstation we're holed up at (like this hammock at our hostel in Boquete, Panama), we're always covered by a VPN service.

Digital Nomad Essentials for Working on the Road

Nosotros spend endless hours holed upward in hostels and java shops hunched over our laptops. For a long time we figured aching shoulders and necks and stiff wrists were all part of the Digital Nomad dream. It's a small-scale price to pay for being able to piece of work from anywhere in the world, right??

No, y'all. Your wellness is NOT a fair toll to pay. And information technology's such an like shooting fish in a barrel set up! Nosotros've since invested in a few necessary pieces of gear that go far possible for us to bring an ergonomic workspace anywhere in the world.

Although these days I have a home base with a trivial desk and everything, we worked on the blog xl+ hours a calendar week during our year-long honeymoon. I currently find myself working on the road probably about 4-vi months out of the year (I still do my best work on planes).

Even when I'thou at dwelling house, I similar to work from a coworking infinite or java shop when I need a picayune alter of scenery. I'm really typing this web log post while sitting at a nearby coffee shop using all 3 of the items beneath. Information technology's like having my ain niggling mini office!

If you're working on the road, you absolutely need to pick upwards these Digital Nomad essentials.

  • Ergonomic Mouse: Yes, I know: this mouse looks hella weird. That's considering it'south a fully ergonomic mouse. You won't need to cramp up your hand to utilise your mouse pad or move your wrist side to side (which is exactly the opposite of how your wrist is supposed to move); instead, your mouse will stay perfectly still while you navigate using only your pollex. In one case yous put your mitt on this perfectly shaped, oddly looking affair you'll get why I'thousand totally obsessed! Information technology does accept a little while to arrange to using this mouse, but I've been using it for 5+ years and I credit it with fixing my chronic Tennis Elbow (which I definitely got from sitting at a computer, not playing a sport).
  • Ergonomic Keyboard: You should only be using your laptop keyboard when you have no infinite, like say, on a plane or railroad train. Otherwise, if you've got a desk at a java shop or coworking infinite, bust out this ergonomic travel-friendly keyboard.
